A basic net configuration would have fiberglass or metal poles that fit into each other with pre-molded fittings and get assembled into the basic framework that makes up the golf net. The nets are made of nylon mesh that is long lasting and has a mesh dimension of 25 mm by 25 mm. A golf ball is just a little smaller than 43 mm in diameter so the mesh proposed should easily stop balls going through. Just to make sure you can always add a back drop safety feature so that even very wild shots that miss the golf net altogether are captured before they get into the neighbor’s yard or onto the road. An overhanging top is also suggested if you want additional safety. Sizes of golf nets are within 3 meters by 3 meters by 3 meters though you can opt for a wider one with a 6 meter width. Once I started setting up for a big cut (but lining it up to go straight), I began to hit fairways pretty consistently. My misses generally came when I did not hold off the finish and drew it into the left rough. Overall, the XLS only wants to go straight. Any other shot seemed to make the XLS irritable. Trying to hit a draw resulted in a duck hook often enough to make it a very uncomfortable undertaking on the course. Fades became straight shots, and only when I really emphasized the cut swing could I get it to move appreciably to the right. If finding fairways is your primary goal, the XLS does a good job of it once you find the groove.

I got the 9 degree angle with a the Aldila VS Proto 60-S stiff shaft. I tried everything else on the market and this club was by far the one which I hit most consistently. It has cool markings and features on top of the club which some feel is distracting but what is most distracting is having people stand behind you when you are teeing off because they cannot believe the sight and sound of this club hitting it solid. I had the standard ping grip changed to a golfpride grip which is a little stickier than the grip which comes with it. I also had the shaft shortened by 1 inch because I am a little shorter than your average JOE 5’7″. But even with my short height I can easily generate 300+ yard drives with Ping Rapture Driver. Well done Ping!!
