The Ping G15 fairway wood shares a lot in common with the G15 driver including the external sole weight pad and a slightly longer head design which Ping says increases the MOI compared to the G10. The biggest visual change is the low profile design that features a shallow face that further lowers the centre of gravity to help increase that MOI. In our tests the G15 fairway wood performed very well and the sound and feel at impact was much more solid than the G10. At address it looks great with the new alignment aid first used in the Rapture woods, which thankfully replaces the moon graphic from previous G fairways. Visually the changes to the Ping G15 are not as noticeable as the performance changes, which give a good strong flight that can be moved left and right. Whilst this club is aimed at all golfers we feel it is ideal for mid to high handicappers as the forgiveness and trajectory are excellent.
The elongated, low profile design of the G15 Fairway Wood offers a long, forgiving option for golfers who rely on the confidence of a larger head.
An external weight pad on the sole of the stainless steel head positions the center-of-gravity low and farther back to provide higher trajectories and increased distance.
Low profile design An elongated low profile design provides added forgiveness and playability from all conditions
External Weight Pad
A visible weight pad positions the centre of gravity farther back and lower in the club head for high launching trajectories

The latest in Ping’s G range of clubs the Ping G15 driver updates the technology that made the G10 driver the market leader. Like its predecessor the G15 has titanium head which reaches the 460CC maximum limit on headsize. To increase the moment of inertia or MOI the G15 has an elongated head from back to front which has lead to an improvement in MOI. This works in tandem with the G15 driver’s 7% larger clubface to give more stability and forgiveness, even on those occasional off centre hits. The G15 also feature’s Ping’s ultra thin crown technology which reduces the weight of the top of the clubhead by six grams and redistributes the weight to the external sole weight pad which helps to move the centre of gravity lower and further back in the clubhead meaning that the G15 can provide golfers with the optimal trajectory of high launch combined with a low spin rate to help both carry and roll. The Ping G15 driver comes with either the TFC 149D or Aldila Serrano 60 Shaft.
TFC 149D Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by PING utilizes high balance point technology. This technology allows our engineers to increase the head mass approximately 5 grams without increasing swing weight or overall club weight so the player’s club head speed is not affected. This results in higher ball speeds and increased MOI which yield longer and straighter drives.
Aldila Serrano 60 Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by Aldila provides a great fitting alternative to the TFC 149 family. This shaft will generally provide the golfer with a slightly lower launch angle and spin rate compared to the TFC 149D shaft.
