Barack Obama talks about Tiger Woods in an interview

US President Barack Obama has given his thoughts on Tiger Woods' comeback to golf at The Masters.

Woods announced this week that he will end more than four months of seclusion after revelations of his extramarital affairs by returning to professional competition at the Masters golf tournament in three weeks.

As "Special Report" anchor Brett Baier strolled through the White House with the US president Barack Obama, the Fox News host asked Obama for his thoughts on Woods' imminent comeback to golf at the Masters in April.

And the president has given his thoughts to Baier, "I think that Tiger has acknowledged that he betrayed his family, and that's a personal issue that he's gotta work out. I hope they've worked it out. I'm sure he's still going to be a terrific golfer."

In February, it was reported that Woods had spoken with Presidents Obama and Clinton, but a later clarification revealed that the golfer had spoken only with the former president, and not with Obama.

In January, the president told People, "I don't want to comment on his personal relationship with his wife and family, but I'm a strong believer that anybody can look within themselves, find their flaws and fix them."
